You can’t produce your best work in a space that is impractical, poorly thought out, or just plain messy! And we know just how important it is to always be performing at your best, especially if you’re working on a big project or have deadlines looming. So we’ve complied a simple guide on how to organise your office space so you can achieve optimal productivity!
De-clutter!
A clear office space will lead to a clear mind and helps to keep you focused on the task at hand, rather than jumping from task to task and never actually completing anything. Keep a simple storage system, so everything has a place and when you go to look for it, it’s actually there! You’d be surprised to know that the average office worker spends 50 minutes a day looking for lost files and other items!
So don’t be part of that statistic; utilise simple stationery items like desk trays, file organisers and desk storage units to de-clutter and organise your office space!

Ergonomically optimise your space
If your job involves long periods of sitting, you’re definitely not going to be productive if you’re uncomfortable! So take a few minutes to assess your workspace and apply these simple, ergonomic tips.
Your monitor should be arms length from where your sitting and the top of the monitor at eye level. Don’t have an adjustable monitor? Not to worry, there are plenty of monitor stands out there to make this easier, like this one here.
Make sure everything you need often is within arms length so you don’t have to reach for things too often. Keep key necessity office supplies, like pens, paper, rulers, and files, stored neatly in trays or organiser cups close by.

Create a space you love!
Chances are, if you’re in a space you enjoy being in, you’re going to work at a much higher level than if you're in a space where all you can think about is 5pm when you can finally make a break for the exit and get home already! So create a space you love and want to be in! Get creative. Decorate! Add colour! Add personalised touches; like quotes and photos. Anything to keep you motivated and inspired throughout the workday.
But remember, don’t go to crazy and clutter the space, just keep it at the bare essentials and what you deem necessary.

So what are you waiting for? Don’t delay, get organised and start producing your best work today! Your office space has the capabilities to really enhance your work and most of the changes needed are simple stationery additions to optimise your space! And who doesn’t love new stationery?!
